DJIntelligence Playlist Integration

DJIntelligence is one of the most popular event planning tools available for DJs world-wide. With the tools provided by DJI, you can make it possible for your customers to log into your website and create custom playlists. Those playlists can be saved to your jukebox or jukebox network and the used at your customers events. This article will explain how to integrate Jukebox Jockey with DJIntelligence. How to Integrate Jukebox Jockey with DJIntelligence

Jukebox Jockey comes with everything you need to make integration simple. In order to integrate the systems, you need to export your media library listing from Jukebox Jockey, into DJI and then download the playlists provided by your customers into Jukebox Jockey.

Exporting from Jukebox Jockey

  1. Scan your media
  2. Go to Jukebox Jockey's Settings>Media>Exports and choose "DJIntelligence"
  3. Choose Run Report
  4. Jukebox Jockey will create a report and it will open. It has been saved under Jukebox Jockey/AppData/Reports/DJIntelligence.csv.
  5. Log into your DJIntelligence account
  6. Underneath "Tool Configuration", click on Music Database
  7. Follow on-screen instructions to and upload the DJIntelligence Export.

Import DJI the Playlists into Jukebox Jockey

  1. Browse to a playlist folder (default C://Program Files/Jukebox Jockey Media Player/AppData/UserData/Playlists/) and create a directory called "DJIntelligence"
  2. Once your customer has finished making requests online and has submitted their requests, you will receive M3U files via e-mail.
  3. Create a sub-directory underneath of the "DJIntelligence" folder with the name of your customer.
  4. Save the M3U files contained in the e-mail to that folder.
    Examples would be:
    /Playlists/DJIntelligence/Smith/Playlist1.m3u
    /Playlists/DJIntelligence/Smith/Playlist2.m3u
    /Playlists/DJIntelligence/Smith/Playlist3.m3u
  5. Go to Jukebox Jockey Settings>Media>Playlist Paths
  6. Choose "Run Scan". This will load in the playlists you put in the DJIntelligence folder. 

Add the DJIntelligence View to your JJ Menu

  1. Go to Jukebox Jockey's Menu Buton Builder (Settings>Menus>Menu Button Builder) and choose to add a button. 
  2. Select the DJIntelligence Button to and add it to your button listing. You may choose to edit the caption for this button to "Online Requests" or "Online Playlists". 
  3. Go to Jukebox Jockey's Menu Builder (Settings>Menus>Menu Builder) and select the profile where you would like to display the DJI button. 
  4. Add the button to that profile as desired. 
  5. Close the configuration screen and browse over to the button you've made. You should see the Customer name followed by the playlist listing follwed by the tracks for the playlist.
