We have officially launched Version 3 of Jukebox Jockey Media Player software. This is a paid upgrade that's available with promotional discounts for upgrade users. Here is a list of the main features that can be found in the latest version.
Here is my summary of our feature list.
- New Media Playback Engine.
- Focus on Video Playback including video fades, silence detection, audio crossfades, pitch, tempo, and performance.
- Audio and Karaoke Playback performance enhancements
- Skin Engine Overhaul
- New "Daylight" and "Nightlight" skins
- Fixed issues causing inconsistencies in skins
- Added features to better control color changing and transparency of images.
- Added functions to some views to support additional color changing/transparency options for menu icons, object icons, and more.
- Moved the Formats.ini into the skin settings so that it's on a per-skin basis (optional overrides included)
- Moved the Homepage into the skin settings so that it's on a per-skin basis (optional overrides included)
- Added Regionstyles.xml to skin for specifying how each item (track) looks in the views, lists, and player. The result is more consistent and customization item lists.
- Set Volume for Random Play Tracks
- Multiplex support for karaoke (Left, right, Stereo, Mono Options)
- Change Collection Box converted to List, Options for old popup boxes in menu_x.ini
- Reworked Replay Gain functionality.
- Request Tag Popup now optional. Tag tracks from the "object options menu" instead.
- Fixed/Updated the Zipped CDG Tag Reader so that it is faster, included it in the installer. (previously disabled, JJ will now read tags from zipped CDG.)
- Reworked the way the Compilations view is formed.
- Tested on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
- Resolved many known bugs.
- Reworked for performance enhancements when possible.
- Reworked various GUI elements/screens for cleaner user experience.
