Hi guys

How can i set the random filter to play music video tracks instead of audio..and can i specify a folder where i can add selected tracks to play..

Hi Steve,

You can add a preset for video files just like you can for audio files, I just tested that to make sure it's working correctly.

In JJV2 you will have much more control over random play with advanced rules and the ability to specificy which collection (or collections) the random tracks are to be sourced from.

I'll give it a try with the new version..
one other thing i have tried to upgrade my jukebox machine from the old version 1.1 to the latest but it hangs while it is loading at loading settings stage 1 complete

Hi Steve,

I can understand your confusion. The global random play only shuffles from music. So if there is no "filter" set, you'll get music.

But to set a music video filter, you'll want to browse a view that displays decade, genre, artist, etc. Find an object other than a track and choose "set preset" or it drag and drop the entire object (not a track) into the request list. You'll see some options to make it the only filter or add it into the filter list.

To set it to all music videos. Find a view that will let you sear any decade, any genre, etc. Then drag the "any" into the request list.
