All my music, karaoke, and video files have embedded art. They work fine on my Home Version, but I am testing the Pro Version (beta) on a new computer and for my videos (MP4) and karaoke (cdg & mp3) it shows the same art (When Harry Met Sally for karaoke, Bust A Move for all videos) on every album. It works fine in the Music category.

Same data on both computers, in the same file sets.

Hi DJ Dean,

First up could you please make sure that Config>Media>Cover Art Settinsg has "Check Tag for Images" checked. It should be the default, but just in case. Also try doing a "Reset Image Cache" on this page too.

Note that we don't support tags on CDG+Mp3 inside a zip file. So if you are using CDG+Mp3 and want all the tag info read then you need to have them stored as 2 files on disk.

If it's working on one PC and not the other then I can only assume there is some configuration difference. I can't think of anything that could have changed that would be be different from your Home version and this one. Can you tell me what the version number of the Home version you are using is?

Hi DJ Dean,

It is very likely you are having trouble because of the Rules in the Cover Art settings. You probably need to review the rules to make sure they make sense for your organization method. Certainly you will have to remove the * rule if it is in the rules list. Here is a document on Cover Art.

Home Version is 1.2 2011-12-30

Config>Media>Cover Art Settings has "Check Tag for Images" marked (and was when I looked"

I have reset the cache.

Art works great for the files in the Music category (weird), but not in the Karaoke or Video categories.

I copied an mp3 from the Music library to the Karaoke library, and it now has the same art as all the rest of the Karaoke songs.

I spent months (well it took months) updating each file with "Tag&ReName". Every file (all formats) has the art embedded with the tag.

I do not use any zip files.

Mystery......

Hello DJ Dean,

In my experience, when there are stray images being loaded for cover art it is a stray image that is stored somewhere in your media. Do a search in your media folders for *.jpg, *.png, etc. Windows Media Player downloads image files and stores them in folders using almost random naming conventions. Then in JJ the Rule='*' parameter will load it for everything...

Make sure to remove all rules contained in the file Appdata/Settings/Settings.ini

[CoverArt]
Rules=

Then reset cache, run a full rescan, and let me know the results.

I deleted the data in the Karaoke volume and the Video volume (all but 1 file so it would not be empty). Then re-scanned and reset the Image cache.

Then reloaded all the data, re-scanned and re-set, and all appears to be well.

That worked, but I also deleted everything after RULES=

I think Gremlins did it.

Works fine now, Thanks for 2 solutions today!
