Video Displays
Jukebox Jockey supports multiple monitor outputs. One monitor must be the control monitor. Each additional monitor can be configured to display a "Home Screen", or it can display video/karaoke.

First make sure that Windows is properly configured to display in extended desktop mode. If your computer is configured properly, you will be able to drag your mouse from one screen onto the other. If you see the same on each display, your computer either does not have the hardware to support extended displays (see your computer manufacturer) or you have not properly configured your Display Devices properly. You can check your settings in various ways for each version of Windows.
- Windows XP - Right click your desktop and choose "Properties". Choose the "Settings" tab. You will see an illustration of your multiple monitor setup. Select the display you would like to configure and choose "Extend Window's desktop to this display".
- Windows Vista -
- Windows 7 - Right click the desktop and choose "Screen Resolution". Under the setting called "Multiple Displays", choose "Extend these displays". Choose "OK".
Once Windows is configured properly, you can now start Jukebox Jockey and configure your new displays. Jukebox Jockey will automatically create the default settings for new displays, but you may further customize what is displayed on your screens. You can make these adjustments by going to Jukebox Jockey's settings>Hardware>Video and Karaoke Displays.
Home Page
The Home Page is an HTML document that communicates with the Jukebox Jockey API to display information about your system. The default home page displays "Now Playing" and "Up Next". More advanced home pages can be designed and used to display information in a different manor. See the Jukebox Jockey API details for more information.
To change your home page
- Go to Settings>Hardware>Video and Karaoke Display
- Use the Home Page input box to change the location of your home page.
Screen Layouts
Divide your Home Screen or Secondary Monitor page into sections containing HTML pages and/or video. Because the home page and layout files use HTML, customizations can be easily made to this portion of the software using basic web-based programming.
To choose a layout
- Go to Settings>Hardware>Video and Karaoke Display.
- Choose the drop down box to select the layout file you wish to assign to that monitor.
- Restart Jukebox Jockey.
The following layout file is the "Simple Singers" layout. This layout will show which karaoke singer is Up Next and Now Singing. This layout file divides the screen into two sections. There is a vertical section on top which has a height of 150 pixels, a width of 1 (Full screen), and it will display the HTML page called "simpleticker.htm". Then the main section will display either the Home Page (as defined in the home page settings) or the karaoke/video content.
